In honor of the last two Cocteau Twins titles to be reissued (Milk & Kisses, Four Calendar Cafe), we are having a Cocteau Twins appreciation party on Friday, January 12 at 6pm.
We'll host a raffle with one grand prize as well as Cocteau Twins buttons for attendees. Free pizza and bevs provided.
A little UKR history for ya... Back in the day our sister store, Schoolkids Records owned by Curt Schieber, had a promotional entity called "No Other Presents." With the help of Tim Anstaett and his connection to Ivo at 4AD, Curt and No Other Presents were the promoters for the Cocteau Twins' first show in Columbus in 1985 at Newport Music Hall. The legacy and influence of Schoolkids is largely responsible for bringing Cocteau Twins to town and for building the music scene in Columbus.
